The Mediterranean archaeological section sports a fine selection of Greek art with some 1,700 vases, earthenware figurines and sculptures; the regional archaeological section showcases weapons, figurines, crockery and jewellery from Gallo-Roman and Merovingian eras. There are paintings by the three Le Nain brothers, 17C artists born in Laon, famous for their paintings of country life.
