The panoramic terrace of the Sphinx, at the top of Jungfraujoch, affords views over Aletsch Glacier, which extends for 22km like a wide, powerful river. To set foot on this immense white expanse, you simply need to take the lift down and follow the signposts to "Aletschgletscher". A downhill ski slope has even been marked out here. Furthermore, it is possible to take a tour in a small plane over the Jungfrau mountains.
