This duomo, built in the Lombard Romanesque-Gothic style, boasts a beautiful tripartite façade with a magnificent canopy embellished with a depiction of the Last Judgement. Note also, on the right side of the building (where the Portal of the Months once stood, the panels from which can be admired in the museum), the Loggia dei Merciai, once home to shops. The (unfinished) campanile by Leon Battista Alberti and the semi-circular brick apse by Biagio Rossetti are also worthy of attention.
