This square is the setting for numerous cultural activities (concerts, plays etc) and is the heart of the Gothic quarter. In one fell swoop you can admire some of the city's most important medieval buildings: the royal palace, the Capella de Santa Àgata, the Palau del Lloctinent and the 15C Casa Clariana-Padellàs, a fine example of civil Gothic architecture and home to the city's history museum.
