Kept at the Tower of London since the 17C, the Crown Jewels have been displayed in a vault, called the Jewel House, in the imposing 19C Waterloo Block since 1971. All authentic, most of the pieces are used in coronation ceremonies. The earliest date from the 17C. You can admire, in particular, the world's largest diamond, the great Star of Africa (530 carats). As for the Imperial State Crown, it incorporates no fewer than 3 733 precious stones.
