Saint Thomas's Tower (13C) was the main entrance to the Tower of London when the Thames was the most frequently used means of travel in the city. It took the name Traitors' Gate when it was used as a secret access to bring State prisoners into the Tower. In this tower, the Great Chamber (Magna Camera) was that of Edward I.
