Built from 1874 to 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the early French Renaissance style and located in 60ha grounds designed by Élie Lainé, the manor contains a superb Rothschild collection of Dutch, Flemish, French and English paintings, furniture, Sèvres porcelain, 18C French Savonnerie rugs and many other works of art.
