This pretty street is lined with colourful little houses and many shops. Cross the small park and you come to the Church of the Assumption (no 9). As with the rest of this old quarter (Piaski or "sand district"), this Franciscan church, built in the 14C, is being gradually restored. At the end of Traku gatve, two muscular statues support the balcony of the elegant Empire Tyszkiewicz house. Opposite, a niche in the Umiastowski building houses the shield statue of the guardian of the city.
