The moat of this Flemish castle (1661) was formerly spanned by a drawbridge. The brick buildings with stone facings, topped by crow-stepped gables, are now the site of the tourist office and a museum. The latter exhibits the results of digs carried out in the Villeneuve d'Ascq area and addresses local history in the context of temporary exhibitions.
