This pleasant hike to Mount Veyrier offers a view over Annecy with the lake in the background. From the summit, the vista embraces Mount Entrevernes and Semnoz. In fine weather, the glaciers of the Vanoise Massif glitter in the southeast. To the northeast, you will see the Salève and Voirons through the Dingy Gap and you can almost make out Lake Geneva. Once over the Contrebandiers Pass, the downhill hike leads you to the Cheminée grotto in 5mins.
