San Zeno is one of the most beautiful churches in Italy. Its 12C Lombard Romanesque style is evident in the decor of Lombard bands and arcading on the façade and the elegant alternating brick and stone courses on the side walls and bell tower. The church boasts beautiful bas-reliefs on either side of the porch, fine bronze doors and, inside, above the main altar, a splendid triptych by Mantegna (1459).
