This church dedicated to Saint Alvise is well worth a visit for its richly decorated interior, which provides a remarkable contrast to the austere exterior. Admire the spectacular 17C trompe l'oeil fresco on the ceiling, and the fine 15C tempera paintings by the entrance on the left, attributed to pupils of Lazzaro Bastiani. The right wall of the side chapel houses a Calvary by Tiepolo (1749), who also painted the Flagellation and the Crown of Thorns.
