The elegant brick façade of San Giovanni in Bragora church stands out against the sky. It was in this church that Antonio Vivaldi was baptised in 1678; a copy of his baptism certificate can still be seen here. Artworks of interest in the church include a superb painting by Cima da Conegliano, The Baptism of Jesus, in the central chapel; a magnificent Resurrection of Christ by Alvise Vivarini; and a Madonna and Child by Alvise's uncle, Bartolomeo Vivarini.
