This church is a reminder that this quarter was the domain of the Greek community, which grew significantly after the fall of Constantinople in 1453. The church, easily recognisable thanks to its leaning tower, is fronted by a pleasant little tree-lined square overlooking the canal. Of interest inside the church is the richly decorated iconostasis with images of saints on a gold background.
