Sensible footwear and swimming gear are in order for a visit to the Gran Parque Natural Topes de Collantes (700m elevation). With an average temperature of around 21°C it is ideal for walking, with the option of a swim in its rivers, waterfalls and natural pools en route. Several circuits have been developed, but the most intrepid hikers will want to go to the 62m-high waterfall and National Monument: Salto del Caburní.
