This important 13C building standing at a junction of major routes makes for an interesting visit. Massive towers and forbidding high walls soar above dry moats surrounding the castle, built in fine ochre stone patinated by time. Visit the stoneware pottery workshop in the left wing, the attics, and the two low wings at the rear with restored public rooms (temporary exhibitions of contemporary art, concerts).
