Tambos, which were the equivalent of Eastern caravanserai or sometimes military posts, dotted the roads of the Inca Empire. The site of Raqchi is the best preserved example. Discover the ruins of the Temple of Wiracocha, in reality an administrative building and the largest Inca structure in the world; Chasqui Wasi, 12 buildings in six rows that are reminiscent of a military barracks; and the colcas (warehouses) whose number and size are testament to the quantity of goods that were stored there.
