De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The mausoleum of Centcelles is depicted by an impressive edifice built on a square plan. The first chamber is covered by an immense cupola (diameter 11m). It is thought that this vast edifice was the tomb of Emperor Constant, son of Constantine the Great. This role could explain the proportions and the quality of the mosaics, which although incomplete, make up one of the oldest and most beautiful examples of early Christian funeral art.
