This two-storey brick building decorated with graceful arches used to houses El Pasaje restaurant (or Cherokee Club), opened in 1888. In its heyday, the hotel welcomed Cuban revolutionary José Martí, presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Grover Cleveland, and Sir Winston Churchill.
