The centre of the old town, an approximate triangle, is divided by two long squares that run into one another: Városház tér (Town Hall Square) and Koronázó tér (Coronation Square). The squares are dominated by the Bishops' Palace and the Franciscan church, opposite the town hall. The Püspöki Palota (Bishops' Palace) was built in the Copf style - Late Baroque - using stones from the royal palace and the remains of the medieval basilica.
