The 40-acre gardens of Villa Pallavicino, situated at the entrance to Stresa coming from Arona, are home to a botanical garden and a rich wildlife park which boasts around 50 different animal species, including deer, zebra, kangaroos and pink flamingos. Some of the animals are kept in semi liberty in large enclosures. Used to contact with humans, they can be stroked and photographed at close range.
