Knights' Island only has a few inhabitants left today, important people living in the few remaining palaces and mansions that have not been taken over by the Administration. So it empties in the evenings, leaving passers-by to enjoy the view over the city from Evert Taube's terrace, from the reddish tints of the Town Hall in the west to the heights of the Södermalm in the south.
