Béguinage of Rue Quentin-Barré
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
There have been Beguine convents in Saint-Quentin since the 13C. These institutions accommodated religious women who had not taken their vows. Today, there are still six large enclosures, with about 40 houses around a communal garden, and six small enclosures for elderly or single people, effectively broadening the definition of a Beguine convent. The one in rue Quentin Barré with its façades with crow-stepped gables is the most interesting, along with those in rue de Bellevue and rue du Moulin.
