It was during the dismantling of the 17C-19C wainscoting in the chancel of this former cathedral that these 15C murals were discovered, hidden under several coats of paint and plaster. Entirely restored, the vivid scenes take place against a white background in predominately natural ochre and black shades. The guided tour will show you an old column of the early church and a trace of 12C painting. Not to be missed!
