Inhabited since Antiquity, as the cromlechs of Arguibel site bear witness, the Aldudes valley is rich in appeal. The Quint Land, of which it was part, was the scene of local and international conflict. Today it is the cradle of the revival of the Basque pig (euskal xerria). The best time to go walking is when the low-lying sunshine lights up the green meadows, so head off in the company of goats, Aquitaine cattle and the local pigs with their large black ears.
