Situated in the old fortified town of Sélestat, the 16C Hôtel d'Ebersmunster was once the town residence of the Benedictine monks of Ebersmunster abbey, providing them with a place of refuge in the event of attack. Decorated with sculpted motifs and topped with scallop shells, medallions and capitals, the doorway dates from the Renaissance.
