Mastaba of Kagemni
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The tomb of the man who was Vizir at the start of the reign of Teti I was discovered by the German Egyptologist Karl Lepsius in 1843. This mastaba is almost as big as Mereruka's but has far fewer chambers. Its low reliefs show finer workmanship but are not as well preserved. Once again, scenes typical of burial places of this period are found here: agriculture, hunting, fishing and offerings.
