This idyllic spot stands in an exceptional site on a hill by the edge of the sea; it was built in 1361 by Benedictine monks and enjoyed its heyday in the 16C-17C. The abbey now hosts congresses, concerts and private events. Luckily, it is still possible to visit the church, for which Gerard David created his famous Cervara Polyptych in 1507 (displayed in different museums around the world), the splendid gardens and part of the monastic buildings.
