This is the resting place of Tamerlane's religious advisor, Sheikh Burhanuddin Sagarji, who died in 1388. The architecture of the mausoleum is noteworthy for its modesty, while the turquoise dome of Guri Amir is just next door. Its layout is in keeping with the classic design for mausoleums at the time: a square base with a cupola symbolising the sky. The tombstones of the sheikh, his wife, and ten children are arranged in the centre of the room and decorated with suras from the Koran. The wooden door to the east is original.
