The former Hotel Utah (1911), restored in 1987, is now a community centre. Its elegant lobby features an original stained-glass ceiling, marble pillars and grand staircase. A 70min film paints a portrait of the founder of the Mormon Church. On the ground floor of the building, the Family Search Center helps visitors with their genealogical research by means of computers with access to a database of hundreds of millions of names.
