At an altitude of 949m, Monte Cavo's slopes are home to the city of Rocca di Papa, overlooking lakes and the Alban Hills. To reach the top, leave your car in the Campi di Annibale car park, go up Via Prato Fabio, and get onto the old Via Sacra that leads there. You can also reach the Monte Sacro lookout by car, via the Via Scalette. There used to be a temple of Jupiter at the top. From there, there is a fine view over the lakes Lago di Nemi and Lago Albano.
