In 2012 the Fonds Régional d'Art Contemporain - a network of public collections of contemporary art - arrived in the new Beauregard quarter, to the northwest of the city of Rennes. Today its collection boasts 4 800 works (500 artists), exhibited in Brittany, elsewhere in France and abroad. The building, an imposing black monolith designed by the architect and town planner Odile Decq, goes remarkably well with L'Alignement du 21e s., the monumental work next to it by Aurélie Nemours.
