The Cham site of Hung Thanh, in the province of Binh Dinh, is worth a detour. The two kalan - the main temples and only remains still standing on the site - have lent it its alternative name of Thap Doi ("Twin Towers"). Note the curved shape of the pyramidal roof that you won't find at other sites. The town of Qui Nhon, 2km to the southwest, has some attractive beaches for those seeking rest and relaxation.
