Hewn out of the fractured rocks of this granite plateau, the Méandre de Queuille has been sculpted by the Sioule River, which widens into a dam at this point. To get to the promontory, go through the undergrowth behind the chevet of the church. You come to the concave bank of the loop, which is high and studded with rocks; on the convex bank opposite, the river hugs the Presqu'île de Murat, a long wooded spine of land. Downstream from the meander, note the Queuille Dam.
