Puebla Cathedral overlooks the southern side of the Zócalo from atop its bell tower, the highest in the country at a height of 68m. Begun in the 16C, its construction was completed in the 17C under the aegis of Bishop Jean de Palafox. Be sure to admire the dome inside, magnificently decorated by Cristóbal de Villalpando.
