There are two good reasons to visit Predjama Castle: the imposing building itself, which is built into the rock face like some kind of inaccessible hideaway, and the 6km-long underground galleries of the cave. The castle has been the scene of many fantastic adventures. A medieval festival draws crowds every summer.
