Between the abers of Elorn and Daoulas, this peninsula juts into Brest's harbour. The landscape is much craggier here than in the neighbouring Pays du Léon, affording panoramic views over the Goulet de Brest and Crozon peninsula. At some distance from the main roads, the countryside you come across here still makes up a traditional landscape of small fields and hedges with few houses. The former Daoulas Abbey is worth visiting, as is the Plougastel-Daoulas Calvary with its crowd of sculpted characters, built from 1602 to 1604 after the plague of 1598.
