This jewel of Renaissance architecture is reached on foot along the picturesque via dei Priori and is by Agostino di Duccio who mingled the purity of the lines with a delicate decor of fine sculptures and coloured marble. The bas-reliefs on the facade depict St Bernard in glory and scenes from his life; on the shafts, notice the stunning angelic musicians.
