The 24m-high and 17m-wide Vésone Tower is all that remains of a huge temple devoted to the Celtic water goddess, Vesunna. Built in the centre of the antique city in the 2CE, this temple was originally surrounded by porticoes and flanked by two basilicas. The tower that housed the sanctuary (cella) remains imposing, despite the destroyed section of wall (former door of the temple).
