This delightful small square is a picture of harmony. In the centre is a statue depicting the graphic artist Paul Gavarni (1804-1866), a contributor to the Charivari among others and a local resident. At no 27, the Louis XVI-revival (1875) mansion houses the Dosne-Thiers Foundation. Païva mansion (no 28), an astounding Renaissance revival troubadour-style house, is depicted by a façade, sporting a wealth of decorative detail. Paul Gauguin lived on the 4th floor from 1873 to 1875.
