Architect Christophe Marie completed construction of the bridge in 1635, although it was partly rebuilt in 1658 and then again in the 19C. Since then however, not a crack to be seen! It is the oldest bridge in Paris after the Pont-Neuf and, because of its empty niches and abutments, perhaps one of its most beautiful. Note the stunning façades of the private mansions along Quai de Bourbon (on your right) and Quai d'Anjou on either side of the bridge.
