In the 13C, it was the site of a priory devoted to Sainte-Catherine of the Val des Escoliers. In the 18C, it saw the addition of handsome buildings whose homogeneity is enhanced by mulberry trees in the centre. Today, the square is extremely pleasant and restful, lined by terraces.
