The Vivienne and Colbert arcades date from between 1823 and 1826. The former, with its glass roof and lined by fashion boutiques, a wine bar and a tearoom, has preserved its decor of nymphs and goddesses. The latter, restored to its original Pompeian appearance, is part of the National Library and is used as a venue for exhibitions and conference; there is an auditorium beneath the rotunda. Don't miss the Grand Colbert café, which has retained its 1900's ambience.
