The Poble Espanyol is a showcase village with replicas of Spain's most typical houses. It aims to faithfully replicate, with great attention to detail, famous buildings: Myrtle Courtyard (Grenada), El Greco's house (Toledo), a Castilian Plaza Mayor etc. In summer, the village also hosts folklore shows and demonstrations by artisans. The convention centre opposite the village is an enormous pastiche of the main Roman buildings in Spain.
