Paramount Building
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Graced with a remarkable central entranceway and pointed arch, this building with green awnings opened in 1927 and used to house a 1,028-seat movie palace. Joseph Urban, set designer for the Ziegfeld Follies designed the theater, reportedly drawing the plans on a tablecloth in a Manhattan restaurant. Performers of the caliber of Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields and Glenn Miller all starred here. Closed in 1980, the building has changed hands many times and is now a place of worship a Christian church.
