Set in parkland, the Norwegian Folk Museum looks back over the cultural history of Norway since the Middle Ages. Its main attraction is the incredible open-air exhibition of 158 buildings illustrating the wooden architecture from different regions of the country. The urban section displays among other things apartments from Oslo. A small town has also been completely recreated here. One of the museum's most outstanding exhibits is the completely restored wooden stave church from Gol.
