The surprising Vigeland Park, itself located within the vast Froger Park, was designed by the sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943), who died a year before this 20-year project was completed. The park contains 200 of his huge realist sculptures, representing ordinary people engaged in their daily lives. Occupying the artist's former studio, the Vigeland Museum displays drawings, woodcuts, casts and preparatory sketches.
