Purchased in 1969 by actor Robert Redford (and named for the Utah-born character he played in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), this little corner of paradise is devoted to recreation, art and environmental protection. In winter a modest ski resort welcomes visitors to Mount Timpanogos and is home to the world-renown Sundance Film Festival. In summer, Sundance is a hiking and riding centre.
