Aberdeenshire Farming Museum charts the recent history of Scottish farming. Near a splendid four-storey dovecote, the reconstructed Hareshowe Farm gives an insight into 1950s farming methods. This "weel vrocht grun" (well-worked ground), as the north-west is sometimes referred to, is the result of centuries of hard work and toil.
