The ramparts date from Moorish times and were partially restored in the 12C, 13C and 16C. The north part, the highest, is occupied by the keep and the high castle towers. The trip around the surrounding path has very pleasant views over the fortified town, the white houses enlivened with blues or yellows and the surrounding area.
